Hello! I'm Gauri
A Cognitive Psychology enthusiast and artist currently in California, USA. paving my way towards the field of UX and pursuing an MA in Applied Cognitive Psychology: UX.
Here's a little bit more about me
-
Intentionally design experiences anticipating user needs, supported by research and insights from cognitive psychology.
-
UX that is creative beyond the surface, inspiring real engagement and meaningful interaction.
-
Interfaces that balance form with function, where each design decision is an example of storytelling, and every detail conveys intent.

MY WORK
Conceptualization, Application of Cognitive Psychology, UX Research, IA Evaluation, and Data-Driven Design
-
As part of my graduate coursework, I conducted an Information Architecture (IA) assessment of Indeed’s job search experience, evaluating how categorization, labeling, and content hierarchy impact usability. Drawing from cognitive psychology principles such as Cognitive Load Theory, Hick’s Law, and Information Scent, I identified key areas for improvement in filter navigation and job listing structure.
-
This project highlights my ability to analyze digital experiences through an IA lens, apply interdisciplinary research, and propose data-driven design improvements to enhance findability, scannability, and user decision-making efficiency.
Qualitative Research, Cultural Analysis, Qualitative Analysis, Synthesis, Creative Storytelling, Design Thinking
-
Investigated how the sensory and emotional aspects of Mumbai’s monsoon inspire artistic expression and design.
-
Skills- conducting qualitative research, synthesizing findings, and creating narratives that connect deeply with user experiences and cultural contexts.

Card Sort Analysis, User-Centered Design, Statistical Analysis, and Data-Driven Recommendations
-
I conducted a card sort analysis for GetCare to categorize caregiver attributes into filters and profiles, improving user decision-making. The analysis identified key attributes for filters and profiles.
-
I also performed statistical analysis using Chi-Square and Fisher’s Exact Test to assess the significance of relationships between categories, ensuring data-driven recommendations.
-
This project demonstrates my ability to integrate card sorting, statistical analysis, and user-centered design to enhance usability, optimize categorization, and improve user experience.
